Project – B52 Stratofortress

I’m excited to announce the completion of my latest scale model project, the Italeri 1/72 B-52G Stratofortress! Although I faced some challenges with fitment and alignment during the building process, I managed to overcome them and achieve a fantastic finished product.

While I didn’t go to great lengths to remove every seam line due to some of the other issues with the kit, this model is still an impressive display piece that will look great in any living room. For my build, I chose to create an in-flight display, as I find it to be more visually captivating. This B-52G model replicates an aircraft stationed with the 4300th Bombardment Wing based at the Diego Garcia AFB in 1991, finished in the classic Gunship Gray color that I adore.

To add a touch of realism, I used various weathering techniques including washes, powders, and oil paints. The final result is a stunning model that will impress any aviation enthusiast.

Despite the challenges I faced during the build, I still found the Italeri 1/72 B-52G Stratofortress to be a fun and enjoyable kit. Who knows, I may even tackle it again someday!

In summary, this model is a great option for those looking for a quick build that displays beautifully. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the B-52G Stratofortress in all its glory!
